Our DNA is divine.

Jesus came on planet earth to teach us who we are. I believe the whole bible was a preparation for the new vision that God wanted to give to us. But we were stuck with an old pagan concept of who God is and what is this creature He created in His image.

Jesus goes in details to explain to us that just as He is one with the Father, He is also one with us – “I in them and you in me” (Jn17,23). Our DNA is divine. He gives us His own Spirit to show us that we have a divine origin. This divine indwelling is not earned. There is no particular ritual or behaviour that will make it happen. We need to recognise it. We need to just realise it.

St Paul insists that it is grace. Grace comes from the Latin word: gratis – free. You do not earn it. You do not work for it. You cannot obtain it by any means. You need to receive it. It is given, freely, at no cost (Romans 11:6, Ephesians 2:8-10).

If only we can grasp this mystery. If only we can have this new way of seeing ourselves as we really are and learn to see our true nature. In God’s eyes we are all the same: we are all His. If only we can understand this unity we have with the Divine and accept this Presence that is in all.

Let’s pray to God that our eyes are open and we shall see.
