Goodness is not just evil avoided, or even denied. It is much more evil transformed, as the cross itself reveals. Salvation and sin are correlatives more than opposites, and the bible reveals this surprising and divine pattern. Paul makes it very explicit when he says that "it is when I am weak that I am strong" (2 Cor.12:10).
